A decade after the “Call Me Maybe” singer’s critically acclaimed Emotion album — and three years since her last release, The Loveliest Time — fans are in for a treat. The double LP Day and Night (September 18) features 12 stripped-down, raw tracks and a dozen dance-pop anthems.
Miley Cyrus
Bass Persuades (September 18) will usher in a new era for the “Flowers” singer, who changed record labels and dropped her last name on social media ahead of its unveiling. “Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on,” she explained of the title.
Orville Peck
Mule (September 18) traces the masked musician’s dogged pursuit of sobriety following a devastating breakup and near-fatal overdose in 2023. “What I was really trying to capture in terms of the concept, there was no way to gloss over or sugarcoat it,” he told Rolling Stone, which calls the project — his fourth album — his best yet.
Riley Green
Just like his eclectic career, the country music star, Marshals actor and incoming Voice coach promises That’s Just Me (September 18) covers a lot of ground. “Growing up, I listened to burnt CDs with Tim McGraw and then Tupac and then Merle Haggard and then Sublime,” he told CBS Mornings.
Becky Hill
The Voice U.K. alum is overdue for a breakout in the States, and Rebecca (September 25) may just be it. “This album has definitely got something to f***ing say for itself,” she told NME. Hill cites Blur and The Prodigy as musical influences on the record, and teases subject matter from nepo babies to self-criticism.
Leon Bridges
The soul crooner keeps the good vibes of his 2015 debut, Coming Home, rolling on his fifth album, Happiness Anytime (September 25). “I want this album to be something that lingers with people and lingers in people’s bones,” he said in a statement. “My role is to be light.”
Soft Cell
Danceteria (September 25) will be the sixth and final album for the “Tainted Love” duo. Vocalist Marc Almond and instrumentalist Dave Ball played together as Soft Cell since the 1970s, and Almond wanted to release the record as a tribute to Ball, who completed his work on the project’s 14 tracks before his death at 66 in 2025.
Tinashe
Don’t be fooled by the title of Tinashe’s new album, Popstar (September 25). The genre-bending talent — who’s riding high after 2024’s “Nasty” and “No Broke Boys” went viral — teased that the album also celebrates R&B and EDM. “It’s cutting-edge, it’s innovative,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
Miranda Lambert
After cowriting the biggest song in the world, Ella Langley‘s “Choosin’ Texas,” Lambert is cooking up Crisco (October 2), her aptly titled foray into country-disco. “[I] ended up with something that feels really fun and honest to who I am,” she has said.
Victoria Monét
The Grammys’ Best New Artist of 2024 isn’t worried about a sophomore slump with Frequency of Love (October 2). Her philosophy? “Go forth with faith and courage and confidence and know that everything I did was everything that I should have done,” she told The Talks.
Wynonna
The country legend will release what she describes as her “most personal and powerful work yet,” The Hard Truth (October 2), after mom Naomi Judd‘s 2022 suicide: “I’ve spent a lifetime singing about heartbreak, healing, faith and survival, but I’ve never made a record like this one.”
Jack Blocker
The American Idol season 22 finalist is expanding his 2023 outlaw country tune “Big Jefe” into an entire concept album of the same name (November 6), inspired in part by his idol Willie Nelson‘s 1975 LP, Red Headed Stranger. “A few songs in, I realized how deeply I related to it,” Blocker said. “Living on the road, making the most of mistakes and running off with a girl that’s way out of my league are all things I’ve lived in plenty.”
